Corporate Etiquette and Personality Development

The only person you are destined to become is the person you are decided to be. This was quoted by Ralph Waldo Emerson and it is very informative and encouraging. I admit that every time I saw a person that is very formal when it comes to their act and physique, I feel amazed at the same time inspired that someday I will see myself just like or better than them. So, here’s another topic that I want to share with, this was my insights about the seminar that I attended last week.  So l am going to start sharing my insights on my 2nd post on the blog of mine.

On 4th of September this year, our class had a seminar divided into two phases, the Corporate Etiquette and Personality Development.  With the supervision of our advance seminar adviser whom Mr. Mark Van M. Buladaco and our resource speaker Ms. Aivie V. Alfeche the said seminar was well productive. This seminar will be our guide and the same time an aid for us to be prepared for our On-The-Job Training on the next semester (if in God’s Grace we will pass this sem. Huhuhu!!) but not just in OJT but until on the time that we will get employed and find a suitable job. And I realized that there are lots of rooms to be improve on myself.

First phase was all about Corporate Etiquette. It refers to custom and rules an individual must follow while he/she at work. I learned that there are lots of etiquette while we are on a workplace like when it comes to meeting, desk, employer and employee etiquette and how we deal and communicate with our co-workers. It is important for us to know what are the do’s and don’ts and the proper behavior while we are on workplace other than we are at home. Because having good manners will help us to have a good impression that will lasts and for us to create better and productive performance towards other.

And the last phase was about personality development, for me it helps us to develop and enhance our own selves, help us groom both inside and outside of our body as a person and gives us optimism in our goal in lives. There are lot of tips that the speaker shared to us. Example are the time management, professional etiquette and grooming, how we socialize towards the people in the workplace, our way on how build strong business relationship, how we present ourselves to create a rapport, the act of leadership (if you are blessed with leadership qualities. Hahaha!!) and the last and very important thing, was how to boost our self-esteem?

After the seminar I assisted myself if do the way I behave and deal will other people was proper? Am I a better person? Do I possess the essences of professionalism? and do I’m capable of facing the real world after I graduated and finish my degree? Those question was arising because what I’ve learned and instill with my mind, makes me think that I need to change for the better and I do admit it’s really hard to be something when you’re not but it’s not an excuse to become a better version of yourself. Those one day was another casual day for me, but when I left the room, the things that our speaker shared to us was instill to me that will help me to act professionally to cope up with the settings and environment together with professional people, deal with other people with different personality and I learned that I need to believe in myself because nobody will believe me the way I do believe in myself. And I am very thankful to our resource speaker and our adviser for a job well done.

I hope you learned and get something about my post. Thank you so much for reading and God bless us all!!!
